The little River Caen flows through the farm, feeding a long established lake well stocked with coarse fish. Extending to one acre, the lake offers high quality fishing and visitors are welcome to try their skill here.
The lake is open from Dawn until Dusk and features the following fish:

The
summer weather has provided a lot of good quality fishing - and some sunburnt
fishermen! The deeper water of the river has been fishing well, the extra pegs
also allow better access to the water close to the island. Judging
by the numbers of floats hanging in the trees, this area has been very
popular.
The new lily plants are growing well also and are becoming well established.
Next spring we should see a good growth of leaves, which will provide interest
in that area.
The best fish of the year was a 15lb 2oz Common, and the best day reported
was a magnificent bag of 19 carp. Much enjoyment has been had with the
other species with large numbers of Roach, Bream and Rudd caught.
As the autumn progresses the fish are moving onto deeper water and feeding
closer to the bottom, although several glorious sunny days have seen the
carp foraging amongst the floating leaves and debris on the surface.
Youngsters or novices do very well with maggots to catch Rudd and Roach,
an ideal way to keep beginners catching.
