There’s plenty for everyone to do in North Devon and so much to choose from when planning a day out. Whether you want to entertain the children, learn to surf or simply enjoy a quiet day exploring a delightful Devon village and perhaps sampling a delicious cream tea! We have a large selection of leaflets giving information on local attractions and are on hand to offer advice, lend guide books & maps or make bookings for you.

A boat ride away by ferry – a great place to see seals and sea birds; it is a marine nature reserve and a full day out and a great adventure for all ages.
Historic Houses and Glorious Gardens
There is plenty to see and do if you enjoy visiting historic buildings and villages with the National Trust’s Arlington Court, Chambercombe Manor in Ilfracombe, Tapley Park near Bideford, the timeless village of Clovelly and Hartland Abbey all within an easy drive.
We are also lucky enough to have RHS garden Rosemoor, Marwood Hill Gardens, Hartland Abbey and gold medal winning Docton Mill nearby, as well as many other interesting gardens which open under the National Gardens Scheme. Broomhill Sculpture garden is filled with amazing works of art and the food is delicious as well!
Fun for Families
For families and children there are a number of attractions to enjoy – all within 30 minutes of the farm.
They include: Exmoor Zoo, Watermouth Castle, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Big Sheep, Ilfracombe Aquarium. There are several more and we are happy to help you choose the best one to suit your family and have leaflets at the farm to help you make your choice.
Sporting & Leisure Activities
There are also 5 Golf courses locally including the links courses the Royal North Devon Club at Westward Ho! and Saunton Club. Horse riding on the beaches and Exmoor, surfing on most of the local beaches with local surfboard hire & surf schools, kite surfing and coasteering.
Cycle the level Tarka Trail around the Taw and Torridge estuary or tackle some of more challenging hilly climbs, the nearest cycle hire is in Braunton (4 miles from us).
There are steam trains at Lynton and Minehead or you could take a boat trip from Ilfracombe to sail along the coast looking at wildlife or to go fishing.
