Little Comfort Farm Holiday Cottages - a lovely location to relax and retreat, a great base for exploring North Devon. Whether it’s the golden sandy beaches of Croyde, Woolacombe, Putsborough & Saunton, championship golf courses, cycling the Tarka trail, walking the coastal footpath or exploring the uplands of Exmoor National Park. Dogs are always welcome in our pet friendly cottages and our well-established coarse fishing lake is ideal for experienced anglers and novices alike.

Coarse Fishing Lake
Our long established, 1 1/2 acre coarse fishing lake is in a tucked-away tranquil location. It is well stocked with coarse fish - big Carp (18lb), Rudd, Roach and Bream - all in beautiful condition.

Fishing Holidays

Coarse Fishing - Day & Half-Day Tickets for Locals & Visitors
Our coarse fishing lake is open every day from dawn to dusk, from March until December and we welcome visitors on a day ticket or half day ticket. For further information and tarriff on our coarse fishing lake please see the Fishing page.

Dogs are very welcome when kept on a lead and there is a WC on site.

Dog Friendly Holidays
All our self-catering cottages are very dog friendly with their own gardens - three of them enclosed. We provide a map of our beautiful 70 acre farm showing dog owners where they can walk their dogs, both on and off the lead, together with private access to our lovely 1km river valley walk. Some of it is enclosed for free running and there are several opportunities for dogs to play and swim in the river.
In the cottages you will find a list of local North Devon beaches where dogs are welcome together with details of dog friendly pubs & restaurants and local gardens which allow them on leads. There is also very good kennel locally who will dogsit your dog for the day should you want to go somewhere where your dog can’t come or if it is very hot and you would rather your they had a cool kennel to stay in.

Child Friendly & Family Holidays
The ultimate child friendly holiday with plenty of opportunities for animal feeding on our working, Organic farm. Help us feed the lambs, pigs, cows and chickens – collect the eggs and return home by tractor and trailer! Children can explore our nature trail through stream meadows and ancient woodland, play on the sandy beach by the stream while parents relax nearby or why not teach them to fish in our well stocked coarse fishing lake? This is where great holiday memories are made!
There's also a fun-filled playroom for younger visitors where Jackie lays out daily craft activities and a large open barn for indoor ball games and undercover play.
With Blue Flag sandy beaches, cycling on the level, off-road Tarka trail and numerous holiday attractions including sheep racing, birds of prey displays and dinosaurs – there's something for everyone!
Each property has separate access and parking as well as its own garden and terrace. There are high chairs and cots provided and stair gates fitted. Two of the cottages are on one level. Laundry facilities are on site.

Explore the South West Coastal Path with its breath-taking views, our world recognised Biosphere Reserve and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For stunning scenery and abundant wildlife, as well as the famous ponies and wild red deer, Exmoor National Park is a short distance away. Or take a gentle stroll on the level Tarka Trail alongside the river estuary, where if you are lucky you will see otters and kingfishers along the way.
After a day’s outdoor activity there’s nothing better than relaxing in one of our comfortable, cosy cottages. Delicious home produce & succulent meat is available from the farmhouse. No need to cook, ready-made meals are a great favourite with our visitors, made using our own delicious meat and local vegetables; these provide a real taste of home cooking without all the work.
