Beef
We keep a small suckler herd of Ruby Red cattle for conservation grazing and rewilding on our organic farm, and dune habitat restoration at Woolacombe. They are a beautiful, slow growing breed that is native to North Devon and replicate the actions of now extinct Aurochs (wild cattle). We finish one or two animals a year to maintain our small herd and supply us and others with an amazing beef product.
Our beef is 100% grass fed, slowly matured and hung for 28 days. We never give our animals hormones nor treat routinely with antibiotics. They roam our farm freely, choosing whatever vegetation suits them best at any given time. We know all of our animals individually and ensure they are fully grown and in prime health before going to our local abattoir. Our beef is of the best quality and we have the utmost respect for it.
We create a bespoke cutting list for every animal and sell cuts you won’t find in supermarkets. These include the highly sought after picanha joint and unique steaks. We also sell beef boxes.
Ready Meals
We have partnered with a local chef to turn our beef into lasagnes and meatballs that get rave reviews. Perfect for popping in the oven while you relax!
We always have beef for sale, although cuts vary and we cannot guarantee what cuts we will have available at any given time.

Little Comfort’s Famous Apple Juice!
Our traditional, organic orchard buzzes with nature and produces the sweetest, most delicious apples. We pick and cold press them the traditional way. We’re frequently told it’s the best apple juice our guests have ever tasted!
Organic Eggs
Eggs from our organic and extremely free range hens. Blue, white and brown, large to extra large, organic and possibly the orangest (natural!) yolks you’ve ever seen!

We stock a range of other items, most of which is organic with a wide variety of gluten free foods, including breakfast goods, pasta and sauces, cooking ingredients, chocolate, ice cream, artisan sourdough and high quality gluten free bread (we freeze on delivery so allow time to thaw), local honey and jams, organic tea, coffee and more.
